Batch coding products is mandated by Gov in order to be able to identify exactly where certain batches of a product have been used or have originated. All consumer products from pharmaceutical medicines, Food and beverages, automotive products etc. have to be batch coded. The details of each batch depend upon regulations put in place by the government. Typically information like Batch/Lot number, MRP, Mfg Date, Exp Date is encoded on the product.
It also becomes very essential to check for quality of each and every batch code.
