Description:
Green silicon carbide is produced at high temperature in an electric resistant furnace with quartz sand and petroleum coke as its main raw materials. Its hardness is between corundum and synthetic diamond, the mechanical strength is higher than corundum. And its hardness and purity are higher than black silicon carbide.
Application:
1.Suitable for processing hard metal alloys and non-metallic materials that are hard and brittle such as jewels, optical glass or ceramics.
2.It's sharp cutting characteristics also make it useful for soft materials such as copper, brass, aluminium, or magnesium.
3.Used as vitrified wheels and belts, organic wheels, and sheets.
