The EX-HD70EA is an HDMI1.4 compliant HDBaseT extender sending HDMI, audio, and bi-directional RS232 and IR signals up to 230ft/70m over a single Cat6/6a cable. It provides featured DDC emulation in the receiver and the source is coaxed to output under designated resolution. This significantly eliminates the chance of in-line interoperability issues and avoids video transmission over HDBaseT capacity. Moreover, EX-HD70EA have embedded and de-embedded option, audio could be embedded in transmitter side and de-embedded in receiver side.
The EX-HD70EA has two modes, EDID AUTO and EDID MANUAL. In EDID AUTO, source device talks directly to display for optimum output resolution. In MANUAL mode, user could load in his own EDID and request source to output compliantly. Factory selects 4096x2160@60Hz with chroma subsampling 4:2:0 as default for MANUAL EDID.
In addition, the receiver unit RX-EX-HD70EA automatically re-clock the transmitted HDMI signal with jitter cleansing, enabling better compatibility with displays and longer HDMI transmission from receiver to display.
EX-HD70EA has three audio modes, they are audio embedded, audio de-embedded and separate audio mode. When it works on embedded audio mode, extra audio from TX is embedded into the HDMI signal to replace the internal audio; when it works on de-embedded mode, AUDIO OUT in RX could de-embedded the HDMI internal audio to L/R analog audio output; when it works on separate audio mode, even there is no video source and display connected, audio could be input to TX and output from RX, and it could be transmitted up to 70m.
