The main ingredient of Korean ginseng, saponin, is also called “Ginsenoside,” and the researches on it at home and abroad continue to reveal an array of new pharmacologically active compounds.
Modern science found that Korean ginseng contains high amounts of “Ginsenoside”, a compound not found in other plants. Korean Red Ginseng contains a total of 34 kinds of saponin, far more than American- produced ginseng, which contains only 14 kinds, and the Chinese-produced ginseng, with 15 kinds, thus earning recognition for its high value, along with other ingredients. Korean ginseng, whose efficacy has been proven by Oriental medicine and is recognized by modern science, contains many ingredients yet to be revealed by modern science, thus remaining mysterious.
