For the licenses OUM DROUS AND East ZEDNES (Mauritania)
This estimate was done on the basis of the actual observation, mapping ferruginous and training based on the results of interpretation of aero-magnetic data covering the area of two licenses.
The average tenor was calculated from the results of analyzes of samples from the two licenses in the geochemical 2012 campaign. An average density of 2.67 g/cm3 was used to calculate the reserves basing on the volume.
The table below summarizes the results of this estimate with the following variables:
• EXT LAT (KM²) : lateral extension of the iron formation in square kilometers;
• EXT LAT (m²) : lateral extension of the iron formation in square meters;;
• H (m) : the average thickness of resources in meters;
• V (m3) : volume resources in cubic meters
• FE % MOYEN : average tenor in iron
• VFE (m3) ore volume in cubic meters ;
• PFE (T) : ore weight in tons.
•
In summary, it appears that the minimum iron resources for ZEDNES license is about 500 Mt while the license for OUM Drous, its resources are about 400 Mt
