Pricklyash Peel Extract description
[Alias] Sichuan pepper, red pepper, Shujiao, Da Hong Pao.
[Source] Rutaceae Zanthoxylum Zanthoxylum bungeanum Maxim. Peel
[Form] large shrub or small tree. Leaflets 5-11, ovate, elliptic to broad oval, long 1.5 ~ 7cm, width 0.8 ~ 3cm, fine round serrated edge, Chifeng Department has thick pellucid dots; narrowly winged rachis, the following students have the rise of the small prickles. Inflorescences; tepals 4-8; male flowers stamens 5-7; female carpel 4-6. Red to purple when ripe fruit, dense verrucous oil point. Flowering from March to May, the fruit of seven to 10 months.
[Habitat] Born in the bush or the sunny hillside land, roadsides. Primary production in Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hebei.
[Plucking] Fall harvest ripe fruit, dried, remove the seeds and impurities.
Chemical composition: containing limonene (limonene), cumyl alcohol (cumicalcohol), Long geraniol (geraniol), phytosterols, unsaturated organic acids.
[Taste] warm, spicy. Warm in pain, insecticidal itching. For abdominal Leng Tong, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain worms, ascariasis; outside eczema itching.
[Identification] Take the powder 2g, add 10ml, shake well, dipping overnight, filtration, the filtrate evaporated to approximately 1ml, as the test solution. Another reference drug pepper 2g, same method as the reference drug solution. Thin layer chromatography (Appendix Ⅵ B) experiment, to learn the two solutions 5μl, respectively, points on the same silica gel G plate, n-hexane - ethyl acetate (4:1) as developing solvent, expand, out, drying, UV light (365nm), under review. Test products for chromatography, chromatography with the reference drug corresponding position was the same red fluorescence main spots.
