Rolling mill rolls is a kind of cast iron roll manufactured by using the supercooling of molten iron itself and the quenching of die surface, and adding Ni, Cr, Mo alloy elements at the same time. There is basically no free graphite in the matrix structure of the working layer of the roll body, so it has high hardness and excellent wear resistance.
This kind of material can be used to produce large size rolls by static compound casting process, which makes the roll body have high hardness and the roll neck have high strength and toughness, showing good thermal stability and accident resistance.
