Description
Sodium polyacrylate, referred to as PAAS, is a molecular formula [-CH2-CH (COONa) -] repeated polymer. Acrylic polymers generally carry a negative charge. Solid sodium polyacrylate is a linear, soluble polymer compounds, the molecular chain of the carboxyl group due to electrostatic repulsion, making the winding of the polymer chain stretching, to promote the adsorption of functional groups exposed to the surface, these active sites adsorbed on the suspended particles in the solution, forming bridges between the particles, thus accelerating the sedimentation of suspended particles.
Application
Mainly used in sewage treatment, caustic soda and soda ash industry, salt refining, alumina production of red mud separation, monosodium glutamate plant wastewater protein recovery and sugar, paper, oil and other industries.
