Description
The engine heater can be integrated into the car's cooling circuit to heat the cooling water up to 60 °C in about 15 minutes. The built-in pump then circulates the cooling water, thereby warming up all the components so that a temperature of approx. 30 to 50 °C is reached at the cylinder liners in the engine. This has a positive effect on the start-up and reduces cold start wear as well as consumption of petrol/diesel in the warm-up phase.
The device automatically switches off once the set temperature has been reached. After the temperature of the cooling water has fallen again (approx. 10 to 15 °C below the pre-heating temperature), the device switches on again automatically.
