White fused alumina is produced from high purity alumina in electric arc furnaces at temperatures over 2000℃ under carefully controlled conditions. which is followed by a slow solidification process and crushed into different grit sizes for different applications.
White fused alumina has a very high purity with Aluminium Oixde(Al₂O₃) content over 99%, low impurities(Na₂O less than 0.4%) , The high alumina content is ensured from high grade calcined alumina as raw material.
White fused alumina is also characterized by high hardness of mohs 9, the chemical stability at very high temperatures, great self-sharpening, superior acid and alkali resistance, and stable thermal performance.
Compared with Brown fused alumina, white fused alumina has a higher hardness , slightly lower toughness and better performance of self-sharpening, stronger grinding ability, better cutting and less heat emitting than brown fused alumina
