The DLM-T type reversing spear in reversing operation owns two functions which can retrieve and transfer left-hand torque at the same time. It is a special internal fishing and reversing tool which can replace left-hand taper tap. The working principle of the tool refer to the radial clamp force generated by the compaction between mandrel and inner-outer cone of the slip can be used to grasp the inner bore of the fishes. The buttons on the cone of the mandrel cooperates with segment slip, that completes reversing through passing on reverse torque. The tools are so much more advanced than releasing spear and taper tap, and mainly use fishing and reversing integration, and solve the technical point, and offer high pulling torque for workover operation.
Construction
The DLM-T type reversing spear consists of top sub, spear rod, spline sleeve, limited block, locating screw,slips. The torque being enforced on the drill pipe connects with inner spline and keys on the spear rod through embedding tooth with top sub pass on the torque into slips or fishes to complete reversing.
