PRESENTATION AND PRODUCTION OF WINE
The rosé wines THE CANNISSES are remarkable of freshness, rich of the scents of their native restanques. The intense aromas of Mourvèdre and the antioxidant power of this grape allied to the fruity Grenache and the freshness of Cinsault, make the CANNISSES a wine both fine and fat. The wines keep perfectly, and they have a good holding even after a few years of conservation. These rosé wines are part of the BANDOL AOP, one of the oldest appellations of Provence. The vineyard is enclosed in a vast amphitheater of mountains from Sainte-Baume to Mont-Caume and surrounded by hills. Extending over 8 communes around the town of Bandol, the vineyard is cultivated in terraces on some 1 100 ha. The soils are mainly silico-calcareous. The rosé wines of the Bandol AOP are pale, rosehip and are usually obtained by direct pressing. The rosé wines CANNISSES, which can not be put on the market until the 1st of March following the harvest, benefit from a careful breeding during the whole winter. Made from Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault grapes cultivated on whitish and very arid soils, these wines are rich in siliceous elements, which can only be obtained at low yields of 40 hl / ha maximum.
