The Domaine de Frégate's production of red wines represents around 60,000 bottles, or nearly 40% of its total production.
Derived essentially from the Bandol king variety, Mourvèdre represents on average 75% of the blend of our red wines.
With their dark garments with red garnet hues, the red vintages of Frégate's estate offer a powerful and wild nose with notes of black fruits, spices and liquorice.
The palate is dense with a strong tannic structure. Over time the tannins soften making way for a mouth softer and velvety. The olfactory aromas will evolve on a bouquet combining truffles, undergrowth, leather and black fruits.
